Managing Director of Vestesen A/S Søren Q. Vestesen has worked the last 23 years as mechanical engineer for diesel engine manufacturers. During the last 10 years he has worked as Technical Manager for two Danish diesel engine companies.

Danvest Energy A/S was founded by Søren Q. Vestesen for development of wind-diesel systems.
1993
Danvest Energy has designed, produced and installed a complete 500 kW wind-diesel power station.
1994
Test and demostration of the wind-diesel power station connected to a 880 kW wind park at Ebeltoft Ferry Harbour, Denmark.
1995
Danvest Energy has designed, produced and installed a 160 kW wind-diesel pilot power plant to the Malaysian Navy.
1996
Test operation of wind-diesel system for Risø National Laboratory with test report - Ebeltoft Ferry Harbour, Denmark.

2000
The wind-diesel test station was moved from Ebeltoft to Bønnerup Harbour, Denmark. In Bønnerup a worst case scenario should take place, whereas the wind-diesel system was connected to one big 600 kW wind turbine.
2001
Danvest Energy has designed, produced and installed a wind-desalination plant for an Irish island together with Vestas Wind Systems A/S.
2002
Test operation of wind-diesel system for Risø with test report - Bønnerup Harbour, Denmark.
2003
Danvest Energy is merging with NEG Micon (now Vestas) and Søren Q. Vestesen gets employment as technical chief for the new wind-diesel department.
2004
After NEG Micon/Vestas merging, Danvest starts again independent as Vestesen A/S.
